As part of the project on creating a surround sound landscape, it was decided as a group that we would incorporate recorded songs that were or would be created onsite in the studios.
This has been done as a deligation task between us as well, with myself doing the recording of Ave Maria on Acoustic guitar within Studio 2.
Setup wise I aimed to add more recording elements then I have before with an acoustic guitar.
With Close Mic setup as ORTF with the KM184's using a cardioid polar pattern.
Rode NT2's also in cardioid pattern and setup as a Stereo A-B Overheard setup.
With the final element for room mic setup using a Decca Tree (Mics spaced at 1 meter apart in each corner) consisting of three U87's set to Omni directional pattern.
