Today a group of students from the stage performing arts class came along to the studio so that their vocal performances from play readings could be made, which is something they would use to help assess their progress and for ways to improve going forward.

This was a group of 12 students split into two groups, so I had six members joining me and Tasha (each studio had two engineers assigned to it) where we basically set up a vocal booth for recording.

Equipment wise was a one mic affair using the Neumann U87 setup into a Protools session.

Each performer had two scenes each, with each performer doing scene One in turn before starting again to do scene two.

The process took approximately one hour to complete with near half an hour of recordings completed.
