Pushing on today with what has so far been learnt with Ableton and how to use the rewire plugin on Protools so that timed events programmed into Ableton can be played back in time to the project within Protools.
As part of the original version of Mark Ronsons Valarie there was the use of hand claps within the song. So my aim was to add these handclaps via triggering of a sample from within Ableton.
A handclap sample was found within Abletons libary of sounds that was suitable for use within the song.
To which on a time coded grid the claps were programmed in to match as much as possible to what could be heard within the original song.
I also used the optertunity to place these sample triggers into other parts of the song where they were not used previously but do fit, thus giving it a bit of my own addition to the song.
