Working on the Vocals

Today was a challenging day working on the vocal recording for Valarie.

With the drums and guitar in good timing I found that the vocals were no longer matching the timing that we had anymore. So some considerable time was spent within Protools matching up the segments by hand to match what was recorded from the drums and guitar.

To help make matters easy, due to having a vocal session previously by another singer that was in time with the drums, this was used as a template guide to place the new vocals in time.

What this does mean though, was that the extra session for vocal recordings is no longer required as this now fits the needs of the session.

With the time spent bringing this into timing this only requires the bass to be added into the session which is scheduled for Friday the 16th.
