Studio Recording Update

So, while the drum recording session appeared to go well at the time, and the setup of the mics and recording of the sound was good, having looked into how it sounded, the timing of the recording, it was concluded that while it sounded good there were timing issues which made it difficult for us to use successfully.

But, thankfully having done a recording of Mark Ronson's Valarie previously with a drummer who's timing digital drumkit I took the opportunity to record its midi signal as well, which for this project has in fact become a massive helping hand.

So the midi has been imported and setup with an instrument plugin from Xpand2 setup to give a drumsound suitable for the song.

Also progress has been made on the rhythm guitar recording which was successfully recorded today within one of the edit suites.

The equipment used for this recording consisted of the AT4050 and MD421 mics.

Next up is a re-recording of the Bass which is scheduled for Friday.
